How To Live With a Dirty Person

Maybe it's just us, but being a clean person shouldn't be something you need to be reminded of.
Now, don't get us wrong, everyone is not the same, and we're not saying that you're a bad person if you're messy, but if you are one of those people, please, please, PLEASE, make an effort to at least try to maintain a clean environment. Me and my roommate, who co-run this blog, have been having certain...um...issues with one of our suitemates. The only thing we share with her and her roommate is the bathroom, and though her roommate is upholding her end of the bargain, this suitemate is not. She's a nice enough girl, but we've reached that point where seeing her in passing results in a twinge of annoyance, as the state of our bathroom has gotten progressively worse. We've had to remind her time and time again to remove her hair from the drain (which she's already clogged, three times), asked her to clean out the shower and toilet when it is her turn to, and UNLOCK THE DAMN DOOR so that we're not struggling to go pee at 2 o'clock in the morning, because who really has the time for all of that. So here's a list of all the things we've done in hopes to help her, ourselves, and even you be a better, cleanlier person:
  • Post sticky notes holding little reminders to keep the bathroom clean
  • Make a cleaning schedule that fairly divides work
  • Make a sign emphasizing to keep the problem area clean
But, If all else fails,
  • Speak directly to the person, though it may be a little uncomfortable
We've been crossing our fingers hoping that she would get the hint, and, unfortunately she didn't. But I wasn't going to let the mess continue, so I utilized the last piece of advice and spoke directly to her. Now, I'm not saying she's improved since our talk, but she has been getting, somewhat, better. Just try, is all we're asking, try to do a little better.
